Avelino Vegas group is composed by several wineries, all of them located at the most privileged wine production area.

They elaborate high quality wines such as Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Castilla y León, Rías Baixas and Condado De La Vega.

Ribera de Duera wines are red wines, reserve and crianza, Rueda are white wines like Montespina elaborated with Verdejo and Sauvignon grape.

Quality is composed by several factors and Grupo Avelino pays attention to all of them.

Originated as a family company in the 50' it is under constant development conducted by research as well as the introduction of new cultivation and production methods; with a highly professional team who comply with the allocated objectives.

Wineries which composed Avelino Vega group are 4: Bodega Fuentespina S.L is the merge between the existing Fuentespina cooperative and the Vega family, with experience in other D.O.

With more than 300 hectares of cultivated vineyard at an average age of 25 years old, the quality of the grape is complemented with modern production and ageing facilities.

The barrels of American, French and Caucasian oak, are changed every 5 years.

Its production is based on antique vineyards owned by small wine producers near the winery, with the most developed technology and enological methods to make the most of the Verdejo grape potential.

In addition Avelino Vegas Winery is designing a new winery in Santiuste San Juan Bautista with the most developed technology for white wine production.

There, the renowned enologist José Manuel Corrales will apply its valuable experience to the elaboration of wines with Verdejo and Sauvignon grapes.

Bodegas El Medioevo S.L is another winery of the group. It is created in 2002 and it is located in Aldeanueva del Ebro (Logroño) at Rioja Baja region.

It has 200 hectares of vineyards in the best are of Rioja Baja region, alongside the banks of the Ebro River; and Aires de Aros which is under construction nowadays.

The winery produces 8 million bottles from which 25% is assigned to exports to Europe, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Sweeden; to America: USA, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Brazil and Puerto Rico; to Asia Cora, Japan and China.

At Alimentaria 2008  they will be located at Stand 910, Pavilion 3. The new releases to be exhibited by the companyu are new haverts and the new Ribera del Duero wine.
