Brief on Drifter:
Drifter, best known for their tissue-thin double-layered shirts, uses only the finest 100% cotton which lends for a super soft hand and superior vintage feel. In their search for interesting and innovative fabrics, the designers at Drifter have developed a slub fabric -- soft, textural, and vintage-looking -- almost nothing like it in the market right now. The tissue-like cotton allows the designers to print on the inside of the fabric, giving the graphics more dimension and depth as well as a distressed, vintage appearance. The graphic designers are a fearless team that are inspired by everything from modern-day robotics to classical antiquity, often merging opposite ideas and creating dynamic and original graphics. In creating new washes, the Drifter team works hand-in-hand with different dye houses perfecting techniques such as the `ocean` wash. This technique looks like a fresh and modern version of tie dying -- nothing like you would have seen in the 60s or even today. The designers keep one step ahead of others by creating new bodies that rethink the shape of a woman and define that of a man`s. The silhouettes generated are edgy yet classic and fit perfectly -- Drifter keeps it fresh by designing original bodies every season.
