Bread and Butter 2007
Preparation is under way for next season’s trade shows. We have big plans for Barcelona and Berlin.
The Barcelona show will take place from 17th – 19th January 2007. Many brands, labels and designers see this as the season’s best date for their international kick-off. We will expand the Barcelona show, introducing new display areas. Our aim is to create “Fashion Week Europe”. One very important addition will be “Upstairs”. Located above the “Superior Area” this area will display the upper casual, luxury sportswear and high-end denim sections, as well as progressive men’s and women’s design. Barcelona is the strongest platform for the contemporary clothing market in Europe, attracting the highest number of exhibitors and visitors. The Berlin show will take place a week later, from 26th – 28th January 2007. We have set ourselves the task of raising our profile – we must become more specialised and more clearly identifiable. This is why milk & honey and BBkids will concentrate on Barcelona. Our goal is to present so-called urban culture with its key features, denim, sport lifestyle, street wear, outerwear and young fashion, as well as the market’s most relevant menswear and womenswear, right to the top of the range. We will engage with the relevant brands, labels and designers, motivating them to attend Berlin with our most persuasive arguments. In the future, only one single ticket will be needed for Barcelona and Berlin. The personalized, combined ticket will be delivered free by courier in plenty of time. As I said before, entrance is free for industry professionals. Our guests need to know what to expect: Which brands are attending? Interesting new entries, fashion shows, events – what will be happening where and when? These questions are answered in our publications. Tradeshow Guide, BBBulletin and other information will be provided to our visitors prior to the shows. Also available beforehand: the online version of the legendary B&b BRAND BIBLE. It contains the complete brand portfolio of BBBarcelona and BBBerlin and is linked to the web pages of the relevant brands. A printed version of the BRAND BIBLE will be available at the shows. AGM offers clear benefits to B&b exhibitors: invitations to their existing and potential clients can be handled through B&b. The service package also includes the scanner. As all tickets are personalized without exception, we will be able to provide exhibitors with detailed visitor data just a few days after the show. I would like to emphasise that tickets are free for visitors, and that the costs of AGM-ACTIVE GUEST MANAGEMENT are borne by the exhibitors. Together with our exhibitors we are taking a stand by introducing AGM – ACTIVE GUEST MANAGEMENT. This ambitious project is ultimately a consequent and logical step towards an effective and market-oriented trade show for professionals. With these measures „BREAD & butter – tradeshows for selected brands“ sets another benchmark in the international trade show business.
