Powerful Synergy for Fashion Destination Düsseldorf

IGEDO FASHION FAIRS DÜSSELDORF from 4 to 6 February 2007

As the most important international platform for women and men’s wear, lingerie, swimwear and accessories, the four IGEDO FASHION FAIRS CPD Düsseldorf, HMD Düsseldorf, Body Look and Global Fashion call together “profashionals” from throughout the world to Düsseldorf. After an impressive launch in July, the innovative concept of holding these four trade fairs on the same dates at the same venue is now to be enhanced further. Commenting on this General Manager of the Igedo Company Frank Hartmann said: “The synergy generated by holding the
individual events together has further “empowered” Düsseldorf as a fashion destination. This means we can now chart a new course for the forthcoming event from 4 to 6 February 2007 making targeted and tailor-made proposals to both exhibitors and visitors alike.” As a fashion fair organiser the Igedo Company responds to market developments and seeks to optimise the “dialogue channels” for the industry by establishing new special-interest areas. With clearly structured segments these trade fairs truly reflect the market in its entirety and diversity thereby bringing together all important trading partners from all over the world in Düsseldorf.

IGEDO FASHION FAIRS DÜSSELDORF start the season with new hall layout

CPD Düsseldorf (Halls 9 -14, Halls 1 + 2)
CPD – Womenswear for every story
CPD is the pivotal exhibition on key “last-order” dates where representatives from trade and industry take their final decisions for the current round of orders. The whole cosmos of womenswear is pooled at CPD and broken down into the three core segments Classic Woman, Modern Woman and New Womenswear. The Classic Woman segment in Hall 10 presents companies such as Steilmann, Hegler, Obermeyer, Frank Saul, Habella, Robell, Kirsten and März. Modern Woman in Hall 11 offers the perfect platform for such labels as Gerry Weber, Brandtex, Hirsch, Toni Dress, Gardeur and Elegance. New Womenswear is pitched in Hall 12. Here trade visitors will also find topical Danish firms, some with larger stands such as Fransa, Claire DK, Bison, Kaffe and Cream or Redgreen. Just as attractive is the “neighbourhood” with brands like YaYa, Brandtex, Sandwich and Mac. In addition to the integrated special areas Supersize and Maternity plus New Discovery for brand new labels on the international fashion market, there will also be new areas addressing specific target groups. Innovations in the core segments of CPD:
The Room (Hall 11) and Concept Eleven (Hall 12) – Small Place, Big Business
These two innovative “room-in-room” concepts offer manufacturers “order stations” in addition to their showrooms: small stand areas boasting straightforward, coordinated design arranged strategically and favourably around the central Communication Area of the hall. Special turn-key stands render expensive custom-built stands superfluous allowing showroom operators to make new, international contacts in an attractive setting with their own corporate identity. The IGEDO considers closer cooperation with showrooms one of its most urgent tasks in order to bundle location-related benefits. The aim here is not to shift all business activities to the exhibition centre for the duration of the event but to set up “branch outlets” and information areas for canvassing new customers and building and expanding export business. Where export and new customers are concerned, the fair is a key platform – as confirmed by the positive response of showroomoperating
firms that have returned to the exhibition grounds. “The Room” in Hall 11, which addresses the likes of Bianca, Delmod, Eugen Klein, Kirsten, Frank Walder, Lebek and Goldix, and “Concept Eleven” sporting such brands as Anotherwoman, Sinéquanone, Blacky Dress, Jean Paul, Bison and Sandwich are ideal tools for maximising the benefits of having a showroom and exhibiting at the trade fair.
Jeans, Casual & More – It’s Leisure Time (Hall 12)

CPD’s new platform for denim and streetwear is as topical as ever given the latest
developments in Germany’s “exhibition landscape”. Exhibitors whose forte are jeans and trendy casualwear will find a place here to capitalise on the advantages of the Düsseldorf exhibition venue with its concept of the four-in-one trade fair. The creed here is “casual, relaxed and wearable”. Deliberately located at the interface between New Womenswear (Hall 12) and the progressive brand world of Style & Signatures (Hall 13), “Jeans, Casuals and More” provides a seamless blend between the two style worlds.
Established Areas at CPD: Style & Signatures – Really Hot Stuff (Hall 13)
This progressive special segment is home to the hippest styles and labels around the world. This forum for the young, innovative fashion community is given a special flair through the harmonious, stylish look of the hall with limited stand areas. High
party spirits are ensured by a DJ, central music management and the lounge bar at the centre of the hall. Labels registered for the forthcoming event include e.g. Nozomi Jeans, Les Petites, Connemara, Nolita, St. Martins, Snob and Ana Rita N.

Fashion Gallery – Creative & Unique (Hall 14)
Unmistakeable styling and iconoclastic fashion away from the mainstream trends characterise the collections exhibited at the Fashion Gallery. Efficient presentation is ensured by the clear-cut, purist showroom atmosphere with that “loft” feel that really puts the collections into the limelight. This exclusive special segment presents young designers and international avantgarde such as Annette Görtz, Peter O.
Mahler, Uli Schneider, Hovmann, Ischiko, Anja Gockel London, Isabelle de Pedro, Dicktens, Sarah Pagini, Quasimodo and Kottwitz.

Accessories for Order and NightLife – Elaborate & Glamorous (Hall 9)
Glamour means the world to suppliers of event wear. Arranged as a separate, selfcontained area, NightLife showcases exclusive evening, party and cocktail fashion by the likes of Weise, Kleemeier, Fashion New York, Designs USA, Drap Barcelona and John Charles in a festive setting; and situated right next to it is Accessories for Order offering everything you need to accessorise those robes for special occasions. After all, only matching accessories turn garments into an outfit. Also new is its advantageous location in the most frequented hall of CDP (Hall 9), serving as an entrée to the fair under the joint motto “Celebration”. High-quality accessories will be showcased here by such companies as Codello, Passigati, Schuchard & Friese, Roeckl, Mayser, Abro and Borsalino .

HMD Düsseldorf – Just Menswear (Halls 7.0 +5)
The international menswear fair is held in parallel with CPD Düsseldorf and the only one of its kind in Germany. In July 2006 approximately 140 exhibitors have showcasted the entire range of men’s fashion: from classic menswear ranges encompassing trousers, shirts, suits and knitwear to sporty casual wear. Already at this early stage firms such as Brühl, Ferkinghoff, Enzo Lorenzo, King’s Road, Lloyd,
Maselli, Mode Monte Carlo, Meyer-Hosen, Miles, Morgano, Navigare and Tarnara have registered for HMD in February 2007. Here the fashion momentum for real order placing will be provided by the Trendforum Men while the Galleria Uomo with its exclusive interior design will serve as a special segment for high-quality designer fashion as well as Italian labels. Selected producers with a focus on Italian style will showcase everything fashion-conscious men need to cultivate their personal style: classy basics, exceptional designer pieces and international top labels. Lavishly presented in exhibition “streets” with that typical Italian flair, the likes of Venturo, Ciesseffe, de.rico, Ganz, Mora and Angelo Nardelli will showcase their exhibits. A special highlight for February: top German designer Doris Hartwich will be celebrating her 20th company anniversary with a grand show and many celebrities at the Fashion Theatre of the fair. Global Fashion – Shop around the World
… is the international sourcing trade fair organised as part of the IGEDO FASHION
FAIRS DÜSSELDORF. In Hall 3 international exhibitors will provide information on CMT, sourcing and private-label production – with a coherently presented, standardised stand system. This is the largest and most important information and communication exchange for the sourcing industry.
Body Look – The Perfect Shape
Germany’s only international trade fair for body, beach and legwear in Hall 15
