EIBTM 2007: New Daily Technology Hour

Unique chance to access the latest technology information Key industry issue covered in the live EIBTM Technology Debate

This year’s event will see the launch of the new Technology Hour due to popular demand. It will incorporate the highly successful live Technology Debate and provide an hour-long seminar each day of the event designed to offer increased educational opportunities. Last year’s post event survey revealed that 70% of Hosted Buyers stated that looking for new technologies was important to them in attending EIBTM.

Different technology related topics will be discussed each day in interactive sessions and debate. Everyone is encouraged to attend in order to hear from leading industry experts about the newest technology trends and how to maximise their use. The programme includes:

Tuesday 27th November 13.00-14.00

“The Top Technology Trends Transforming the Events and Meetings Industry”, presented by Corbin Ball, CMP, Corbin Ball Associates. This interactive session will cover the most significant technology trends impacting on meeting and event planning.

Wednesday 28th November 13.00-14.00

The Annual EIBTM Technology Debate: “Technology Brings You Closer to your Customers” moderated by Patrick Delaney, Managing Director, Ovation Group. This session will allow participants to argue for or against this statement with Corbin Ball, CMP for, and Tony Carey, CMP, CMM, International Writer and Consultant, against.

Wednesday 28th November 14.00-14.30

The EIBTM 2007 WorldWide Technology Watch Winner Presentation. Paul Kennedy, MBE, Group Exhibition Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions will introduce the winner and present the award. The winner of the WorldWide Technology Watch will then demonstrate their innovative winning product for the meetings industry.

Thursday 29th November 13.00-14.00

“Social Networking: What is it? Who Uses it and How Can it Help Me?” Presented by Mike Southon, Founder, Beermat.Biz. This technology hour provides the chance to find out how online social networking can help both personally and professionally now and in the future. 

 The new EIBTM Technology Hour compliments the well-established MPI Technology Village area at EIBTM 2007, showcasing over 20 different technology companies offering everything from event management systems to comprehensive online databases.
