Final Report 2006

On 25-28 April 2006 the largest in Eastern Europe exhibition for electronic components and technological equipment Expo-Electronica was held together with ElectronTechExpo exhibition at IEC Crocus Expo in Moscow, Russia.

Exhibitions organisers - international exhibition companies Primexpo Ltd and ITE Group Plc with assistance of Electronintorg-C.The exhibitions were officially supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Science and Innovations, Federal Agency on Industry, Federal Fund for Development of Electronic Technology and JSC Rossiyskaya Electronica. Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation A.A. Fursenko marked in his greeting letter to the participants and guests of the exhibition: «ExpoElectronica has become a venue for a meeting of professional Russian and international teams. Their cooperation is a vehicle for development of Russian industry and science». This year 508 companies from 21 countries has presented their expositions on 18 100m2 of the total exhibition space – Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Austria, Great Britain, Hong-Kong, Germany, Italy, India, China, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, USA, Taiwan, Turkey, France, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Czech Republic have been presented. Within the 4 days 35 000 specialists visited the exhibition. Business programme
A new scientific and practical conference was held for the first time alongside the exhibition, entitled “Galvanic Technologies and Special Coatings in Electronics and Manufacturing of Printed Circuits”. The organisers of the conference were Russian and Moscow Chemical Societies named after D.I. Mendelyeev, International exhibition company Primexpo Ltd, the Russian Chemical Technological University named after D.I. Mendeleev, the Scientific Council on Electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Science, Journal “Galvanic Technologies and Surface Treatment”. Companies from Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and USA participated in the conference. More than 25 reports were delivered over two days. Topics included the current state and development trends of galvanic technology and surface treatment in Russia and abroad, recent developments in the field and modern apparatus for the quality control amongst others. During four days of the exhibition companies-participants made 20 seminars and presentations including Actel corporation, companies Esmerk, Eniro Rus-S, Rainbow Technologies, Silicon Laboratories (Germany), ST MICROELECTRONICS, Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corp., Aviton, APEKS, Argussoft Company, ATOS component, PPK Milandr, STC Module, TBC Engineering, The centre of High Technologies, NPP Elcom. Visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to view products and equipment displayed by the exhibitors, and discuss new products and trends in the market. The seminars were aimed at specialists from the electronic and electronic components market, as well as suppliers, consumers and heads of the companies. NCAB-ERICON company held a lottery every day on its stand for registered visitors offering a variety of prizes, including digital cameras.
