ISH China 2008 - China International Trade Fair for Sanitation, Heating & Air-conditioning, Spring 2008, Shanghai
ISH China to move to Shanghai for 2008
A special focus on floor heating, energy-saving and renewable energy for the 2008 show
Shanghai: one of the fastest growing heating industries in China
ISH China is one of the leading international trade fairs for the heating and air-conditioning sectors in China. The last six ISH China events (held biennially since 1996) were in Beijing, but the show will move to Shanghai for Spring 2008 to create additional opportunities for exhibitors in the southern part of the country.
The 7th ISH China is expected to cover over 20,000sqm of space. Items on display at the fair will include heating installations and equipment, and air-conditioning and ventilation products. In addition to the main exhibition, there will be a specialist conference / symposium, plus a number of other technical seminars, product demonstrations, and company presentations for exhibitors and visitors to enjoy.
A special focus on floor heating and renewable energy will characterise the 2008 show. These topics have received growing attention in recent years as rising energy prices and increased environmental-awareness are driving people to rethink their approach to heating homes and commercial properties. Numerous major buildings in Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu and Suzhou have already installed new radiant floor heating systems, including China Minsheng Bank, Four Seasons Yanlord, Yanlord Riverside Garden and Egret Island International Community, and demand for new technology remains high.
“ISH China has always been the most important platform for dialogue between Chinese experts and Europeans, but also for Chinese manufacturers of high-tech heating systems,” says Mr. Andreas Lücke, Secretary Economic Commission, Association of European Heating Industry (EHI); a major supporter of the event.
"The reason for the success of ISH China is first of all, that this show presents only high-tech equipment and concentrates exclusively on experts not on end-users. The Chinese-European dialogue on modern heating equipment is especially important in times of rising energy prices. China as well as Europe is looking deeply into the improvement of energy-efficiency in the building sector. Therefore we consider the dialogue at ISH China as a useful instrument for the benefit of both sides," adds Lücke.
About Shanghai
The future location for World Expo 2010, Shanghai is a major economic centre and a rapidly developing city. With wide fluctuations in weather, which make the summers very hot and humid, and the winters cold, the market demand in the Yangtze River Delta area (where Shanghai is located) is strong for both heating and cooling technology. Shanghai has one of the fastest growing heating industries in China, with growth in consumption of heating products & equipment averaging 15% per year since 2000. Major exporters of HVAC products and equipment to China include Germany, Italy, France, Denmark and the USA.
"ISH China Goes Cross Country" programme
A special programme of "mini-exhibitions" to be held in major Chinese cities throughout 2007 will enable manufacturers of heating & ventilation equipment to present their products to building and construction professionals, heating companies, designers, architects and real estate developers across China. It will serve to build awareness of the main ISH China exhibition in 2008, and create wider business opportunities for all participants.
ISH China is organised by Messe Frankfurt and supported by the Association of European Heating Industry EHI and the China District Heating Association.
