ITB Convention Market Trends & Innovations 2007

With a well-proven concept and new ideas, this year's ITB Convention Market Trends & Innovations 2007 presents itself for the fourth time. Besides its already established future, hospitality and aviation Segments the ITB Convention Market Trends & Innovations will present for the second time a Space Tourism event with prominent speakers.
Scheduled parallel to the segments, the Destination Themes (India, Latin America, China, Turkey or the Caribbean) will take place in hall 15.2. After the successful collaboration with renowned U.S. travel technology consulting firm PhoCusWright Inc. in 2006, the Travel Technology Conference PhoCusWright@ITB will go into the second round from March 08 - 09, 2007.
With more than 7,000 participants and 88 events in 2006, the ITB Convention Market Trends & Innovations achieved a great success. With a quarter of all attendees visiting the ITB Business Travel Days, the event met with great response. In 2007 the ITB Business Travel Days are scheduled from March 07-10, and, with their practical oriented topics, are aiming predominantly at the travel and office manager.
In 2006, with almost 1,000 participants, the ITB Future Day was the most popular event of the segments. For the coming year, the convention organizer scheduled the ITB Future Day for Wednesday, March 07, 2007. Prominent keynote speaker and high-ranking panel guests like Dr. Manfred Stock, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Prof. Dr. Martin Claussen, Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, and Dr. David Viner, Climate Research Unit, University of East Anglia, Norwich UK, are going to discuss the impacts of climate change. Furthermore, renowned trend researchers are going to present the latest studies on the future of travel. At the ITB Hospitality Day on March 08, 2007, the hotel guest takes the centre stage: Together with media partner HospitalityINSIDE international experts are going to discuss the challenges of the hotel industry. An increasing interest in the ITB Aviation Day, with the media partner Flugrevue, is expected for 2007. On Friday, March 09, 2007, executives of the global aviation industry will be discussing future prospects of their industry. With keynote speaker Tony Wheeler, Lonely Planet, and his speech about trend destinations, the ITB Saturday promises to be another highlight for the audience.
The Survey on the ITB Convention 2006 showed that the great majority of the attendees confirmed their participation at the ITB Convention Market Trends & Innovations 2007.
