New features from dehn ibérica at Matelec 2006
MATELEC 2006 will take place between 24th and 28th October 2006 at Feria de Madrid
In view of the success that the MATELEC Innovations CD-ROM Catalogue enjoyed at the last edition of the fair in 2004, the organizers of the thirteenth edition of the International Exhibition of Electrical and Electronic Equipment, which will take place between 24th and 28th October 2006 at Feria de Madrid, have decided to continue this initiative.
The period for receiving previews of up to three new features that companies plan to present at the fair for inclusion on the CD-ROM, has now commenced. This period will end on 15th September. The CD-ROM will be distributed, along with the Official Catalogue, to all exhibitors, visiting professionals and members of the media attending the fair. The Catalogue of Innovations will, thus, offer exhibiting companies the opportunity to directly present their most innovative products and services. They will also be able to take advantage of the Virtual Press Room (www.prensa.ifema.es), a service that is also provided free of charge and has been running for a number of years, by posting the latest news on their products on this web site.
Exhibitors will continue to provide a preview of some of their most interesting products at the fair, a brief summary of which is included below.
A New Generation of DEHN Diverters
DEHN Ibérica, a subsidiary of the German company, DEHN + SÖHNE, that has specialized in protection against lightning and power surges since 1910, will present its new generation of diverters. The Red/Line family, consisting of power line diverters, has been entirely renewed. The main characteristics of all the models are based on the use of connectable modules and the button that enables each module to be disconnected with ease. The combined diverters (Class I + II) include the connectable DEHNventil, whilst the Class III diverter is known as the connectable DEHNrail. The DEHNguard, a Class II diverter, has been renewed by incorporating these characteristics.
The button fixes the protection modules to the base of the equipment. This means that neither the vibrations that can occur during transport nor the enormous force to which they are subjected during discharge can provoke the disconnection of the protection modules. What is more, they can be easily changed without the need for tools.
In the Yellow/Line family, consisting of protection devices for data lines, the main new feature is the appearance of the Blitzductor XT, which provides the possibility of protecting two pairs of wires whilst occupying a single module. Furthermore, the new LifeCheck feature enables the user to check the level of protection at any time.
With this new generation of products, DEHN remains at the forefront of protection against lightning and power surges, based on high levels of quality and reliability. DEHN looks towards the future and, within a market that is likely to be flooded with low-quality products, places a series of products of guaranteed quality with high performance features on the market.
