Tecnargilla 2006 registers 1.9% increase in attendance
Attendance totalled 30,820 during the five days of the show
Numbers of Italian visitors up by 2.4%
The 20th Tecnargilla, the world’s pre-eminent exhibition of technologies and supplies for the ceramic and brick industries, has ended successfully. The event was held in Rimini and organised by Rimini Fiera S.p.A. in cooperation with ACIMAC (Italian ceramic plant and machinery manufacturers’ association). The show was attended by a total of 30,820 visitors, 1.9% more than the 30,241 at Tecnargilla 2004. This increase consisted of both Italian visitors (up from 19,277 to 19,747, +2.4%) and foreign visitors (up from 10,964 to 11,073, +1%). Visitors to Tecnargilla 2006 came from more than a hundred countries, demonstrating the appeal of an exhibition that has become the world’s leading trade fair for the sector. The show’s international scope was likewise reflected in the fact that foreign exhibitors accounted for more than 37% of the total of 752. However, the most positive aspect of the exhibition was the satisfaction expressed by the exhibitors. They received more visits than in the past and were particularly impressed by the professionalism and quality of attendees, who including all the leading Italian and foreign producers. Visitors showed strong interest in the technological innovations on display, a factor that bolstered the widespread optimism with which the sector’s entrepreneurs are looking to the future. The next Tecnargilla will be held in 2008.
